03 / What To Pack

Bring Only What Matters.

We provide water refill stations at the venue, so do bring your own reusable water bottle! We also provide jute bags — bring only what you need.

Quick-Dry Clothing

Light colors. Rashguard for snorkel & dive days.

Reef-Safe Sunscreen

NO oxybenzone. Protect your skin. Protect the reef.

Work Gloves

For beach cleanup. Optional but highly recommended.

Headlamp

Night sessions, fire shows & evening coordination.

Personal Meds

Motion sickness tabs, personal prescriptions, plasters.

Waterproof Camera

For underwater Merdeka flag shots (divers only).

Shoes

Closed-toe shoes for jungle trek & rocky beach zones.

04 / Location

Getting To D'Kapas Paradise

Our event venue is D'Kapas Paradise Resort, located on the beautiful Pulau Kapas. Boats depart regularly from Marang Jetty, Terengganu.

Marang to Kapas

Departures: Every 2 hours
Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Kapas to Marang

Departures: Every 2 hours
Time: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Meet Our Kapas Residents

Pulau Kapas is home to incredible marine biodiversity. Learn to identify these common species you'll encounter.

Blue Spotted Stingray

Taeniura lymma
Often found resting on the sandy bottom. Give them plenty of space!

Anemone Fish

Amphiprioninae
Lives in anemones. Never touch anemones - they're fragile!

Parrotfish

Scaridae
Vibrant colors. Essential for reef health - they eat algae.

Nudibranch

Sea Slugs
Look closely! Tiny, colorful, and amazing. Featured in Day 3 talk.

Staghorn Coral

Acropora
Never stand on or touch. We're restoring these on Day 3!

Green Turtle

Chelonia mydas
Common resident. Observe from 3m distance. Never touch or chase.

06 / Marine Park Rules

Protecting Our Marine Park

Help us preserve Pulau Kapas by following these positive conservation practices.

Best Practices

Use reef-safe sunscreen only
Maintain 3m distance from turtles and rays
Look but don't touch marine life
Take all trash back to the mainland
Report injured wildlife to DOF officers
Follow the dive buddy system
Respect no-take zones

Please Avoid

Touching or standing on coral, feeding fish, collecting shells, using anchors on reefs, littering, chasing wildlife, using non-reef-safe sunscreen, and fishing in protected zones. Violations may result in fines under the Fisheries Act 1985.

07 / Safety First

Look Out For Each Other.

Divers: 45-minute MAX bottom time. No exceptions. Buddy check before every entry.
Snorkelers: Never alone. Stay within the marked buoy line. Raise a hand if tired. Wear your life jacket at all times.
Trekking: Trek together with the group, follow the trek line, and stay safe.
Hydrate: Water refill stations are available at the venue. Drink before you're thirsty.
Weather & Schedule: Follow organizer instructions for any changes to the plan.
